Then in the afternoon, I had fun making cakes at Jane’s house yesterday. And oh-by-the-way, Ivan Wong is back to where he belongs… HAHA. So back to making cakes. Went to my dear dear Jane’s house to make cakes in the afternoon at around 4. Can’t really say we are baking cos we didn’t. We made a mango cheesecake. YUMM~ So Jane picked me up at my house. At her house, we had a cuppa tea first and we looked amazingly funny but cute holding the small cups and sipping tea in her kitchen. Then we start with our cake making! The most amazing thing is: there is NONE measuring instrument on the table where we worked. Everything is by estimating. Jane is so damn freaking good at this. I keep on hearing her repeating “DA GAI like this laa…” “DA GAI like that laa…” and everything turns out fine. Must really learn this from her! So, at first Hui Juan and Jane is making the cake while the others (including me) just stood aside and help in whatever we can. (This mainly consists of passing this and taking that) Then at around five, Aunty Mary (Jane’s mom) came into the kitchen and helped us out. Well practically, everything later on was done by her. And thanks to her, we only managed to finish just in time. Then by that time, I was mainly doing the washing since her amah was nowhere to be seen… Hui Juan laughed at me and asked if I wash plates at home until ‘shang ying’ already. == And oh-by-the-way, just found out someone actually knows how to wash plate and actually commented on MY washing-plates skill. So anyway, we actually managed to make to cakes as our ingredient was way too much. So Kuoh Lien and the others get to eat our ‘products’ tomorrow!
